First off let me say 'great job to date' on Vanguard. Looks like it is going to be a really cool game. All in all I like what your considering here. A nice balance between risk vs reward, and reducing the frustration level for a simple bad pull on otherwise trivial mobs. I have only one concern. There should be a clear way of knowing what death penalty is in play for a given mob prior to your toon actualy dieing. Not sure exactly how this would be implemented, but I should know whats on the table before I roll the dice.

We totally agree -- it needs to be made clear to the player what's going on and what risks he or she is taking and what could result from a death relative to the mob's threat level.
