My roommate told me about Vanguard a couple of days ago, so I headed over to gamespot.com to check it out. I have played several MMOs in my career, including Star Wars Galaxies, Everquest 2, The Matrix Online, Anarchy Online, Auto Assault and, currently, World of Warcraft.

There are many things that interested me, not the least of which was the in-depth character creation options. One of my biggest complaints with other MMOs is the limited amount of customization that is offered for a character's appearance. Every character of a particular race, gender, and level range tends to look almost identical. According to GameSpot, this has one of, if not THE most detailed character builders available.

The rebirth of the corpse run also sounds like it could be fun again. Maybe this game won't feature death as a means of fast travel like some MMOs *cough*SWG*cough*. Hopefully, I'll get selected for beta eventually and I'll get to check this game out first-hand.
